“To spread light”is the meaning attributed to the name Prosveta

Created in 1971 to disseminate the works of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov, French philosopher and pedagogue originally from Bulgaria

Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov’s work was initially presented as a collection of several thousand lectures and improvised talks given in French over a period of 50 years, which were written down in shorthand or recorded on magnetic tapes and video cassettes.

Prosveta offers a rich catalogue of more than 120 books (four main collections, including one paperback collection), CDs and DVDs.

Since Prosveta was founded, more than 7 million copies of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov’s books have been translated and distributed worldwide in over 30 languages, and 150,000 copies are distributed each year.

Prosveta’s websites provide the “Daily Meditations” free of charge to tens of thousands of subscribers in nearly 10 languages. These sites receive more than one million visits per year, reflecting the public’s growing interest in the author and his work.

Much of humanity is overloaded with intellectual and materialist knowledge, and seems to have lost the impetus to seek higher truths. It also seems to have lost its aspiration to a purer, simpler, more joyful and enthusiastic life.

However, the current revival of classic works and texts inspired by the spiritual traditions of the East and West reflects human beings’ growing need to explore the deepest meaning of existence, to fulfil it, and to express it through their own behaviour.

The betterment of human beings and an understanding of their role in Creation are the central themes of Prosveta’s publications.
