Master Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov (1900-1986)

Although he discusses the many aspects of initiatic science, he states:

“We will always be faced with the same questions: understanding who we are, discovering the meaning of our existence, and overcoming the obstacles that stand in our way. So do not ask me to talk about anything else, I will keep coming back to these same topics: our development, our difficulties, the path we have to travel and the methods to do so”

Throughout more than 5,000 lectures, he explores human nature as it stands from an individual, family, social and planetary perspective. His disciples call him Master in the Eastern sense of the term, referring to his self-mastery and talent as an educator. He tells us, “What I wish to do with this teaching is to give you insights about life, about yourselves, how you are constructed, what relationship you have with the whole universe and the exchanges you must then make with the universe that is Life”.

His primary goal is helping human beings to find their spiritual dimension (which he calls their higher or divine nature), to perfect and strengthen themselves, and to find fulfillment in the world in which they live. Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov said, “I have tried above all to shed light on one subject: the two natures of human beings, their higher nature and their lower nature, because this is the key to solving all our problems.”

However, this inner, individual work is part of a broader, universal perspective: it helps us to develop the awareness that we are all citizens of the cosmos, members of the great human family, the universal brotherhood, sons and daughters of the same cosmic principle. Moreover, Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov’s teaching invites all human beings, regardless of skin tone, nationality, religion or race, to live a fraternal and harmonious life everywhere on earth, for the good of one and all.

Through his influence, his example and his teaching, Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov has opened the way to inner fulfillment for countless people.
