Without the mind, without thought, feeling is blind. And so, even if it is driven by the best intentions, it inadvertently ends in disaster. Yes indeed, even good feeling can only bring sorrow and pain if it is not guided and enlightened by thought. Whereas if thought begins to guide and enlighten feeling, then even bad feeling can be transformed and do good, because thought lies at the origin of everything and thought is above everything. Heaven has given each one of us a divine cord, a ladder with which we can elevate ourselves to the higher regions. And this ladder is thought.
